My Account
The My Account screen displays information about your library circulation record, including Personal Information, Items Checked Out, Status of Recalls & Holds and Fines and Fees. You may also use this display to renew items you have checked out, and to access screens where you may set your search preferences, saved searches and your Bookbag. To access all of these features, you must login to NUcat.
This button takes you to the Search Preferences screen.
This button shows you the contents of your Bookbag, a collection of saved records.
This button displays your saved search queries.
Personal Information
Contains general contact information, including your name and address, as well as numbers for phone and fax.Blocks on Your Account
Provides information about why your borrowing privileges may have been suspended. Please contact the Circulation department at your library for more information.Items Checked Out
Contains a list of items you have checked out, including their due dates and statuses. You may renew materials in this section. To do so, mark the check box next each item you wish to renew and click the Renew Items button. If no check boxes display, your library account has been blocked. Contact the Circulation department at your library for more information.You should be certain to verify all renewals in the far right Renewal Status column. That column will display the new due date for each renewed book. However, if the result for a particular book reads Not Renewed, the loan cannot be extended. This may be for one of the following reasons:
- The book has been recalled for another reader.
- The number of consecutive renewals has been reached (you may still renew the book by bringing it to the library for renewal; check with the United Libraries and the Galter Health Sciences Library for their renewal policies).
- Your borrowing card has expired.
- The book has reached a lost (billed) state.
- The book is on reserve for a course.
There may also be some other reason. If you have any questions, please contact the library branch from which the book was borrowed.
Status of Recalls & Holds
Contains information about any items you have on recall. This section can display two lists, as applicable: Requests Pending and Items Available. Requests Pending contains the title of the requested item, the date the request expires, and the position in the recall queue. Items Available informs you if any of your requested items are available, and contains the title, the date the availability expires, and the location for pickup.Fines and Fees
Contains monetary charges that you have acquired, with the total amount due listed at the top. Information includes the date the charge was assessed or paid, a title if applicable, the type of charge or payment, the amount of the fee, payments made, and balance.
