Headings List
Headings are standardized forms of the Subject or Author (and sometimes Title) that match your search statement. Headings found through an Author or Subject search are displayed in the Headings List. The Headings List displays the number of titles associated with each heading in the "Titles" column, and the heading name in the "Heading" column. The "Heading Type" column indicates what type of heading is displayed in the "Heading" column. Common heading types are Library of Congress Subject Heading, Medical Subject Heading, Personal Name and Corporate Name.
